COME SEE WHAT ALASKA HAS TO OFFER!

The website below provides all the information you might need to plan your trip to Alaska including how long you'll want to spend at each stop, how to get around, and activities in top destinations you won't want to miss.

Below are OUR favorite Alaska stops, activities, and food/drink that you may want to add to your trip. Reach out if you have any questions!

Talkeetna is a quaint town with shops, food, and views of Denali along with some fun adventure opportunities like zip lining with Denali Zipline Tours. Be sure to stop and grab a quick bite from the Spinach Bread van (cash only) and stop in one of my favorite shops the Dancing Leaf Gallery.

For Denali viewing, stop at the bench viewing across from Talkeetna Lodge for a chance to see Denali as well as walk to the end of the downtown strip where you can view the water and the mountain.

One of my favorite adventure spots is a stop on the way to Talkeetna in Willow at Snowhook Adventures where they have 4-wheeler and side-by-side tours, summer dog sledding, and helicopter tours. While I can only vouch for winder dog sledding, their company has always provided incredible experiences and make it worth your time and money.

If you are looking for a scenic drive, we love Hatcher Pass which is an hour drive between Palmer and Willow. Drive through the mountains and stop at Hatcher lodge to see the red cabins.

Grab dinner with some drinks in downtown Palmer at Matanuska Brewery or Palmer Alehouse followed by homemade ice cream from the Big Dipper. Stop in Alaska Chicks clothing store for some Alaska attire to take home as well.

While you're at it, get a cocktail at Klondike Mikes and play some darts, pool, and shuffleboard at the bar where Kody and I first met!

Tour Anchorage in one of the best ways through a brewery tour! Some of our favorites include 49th State Brewery, Glacial Brewhouse, King St Brewing Company, Anchorage Brewery Company, and Turnagain Brewing.

On the drive to Girdwood from Anchorage, drive the beautiful water-side Turnagain arm road where you should stop for a walk and view at Beluga point as well as watch out for the Bore tide as it is one of the largest in the world! Check out this website to align your travels to see it for yourself.

Girdwood is home to the famous Alyeska ski mountain and resort where even in the summer it still has great attractions! You can hike or take the tram to the top of the mountain where there is a restaurant at the top. The report has a Nordic spa with hot and cool pools, massages, and of course incredible mountains and forestry.

For breakfast, stop at the Bake Shop in town for a gigantic sweet roll. Dinner can be spent at the Double Musky Inn for coconut crusted salmon or at the Sakura Asian Bistro in the Alyeska Resort for sushi and ramen bowls.

For those looking to do some salmon fishing, some of our favorite spots are in or near Soldotna!

Floss at the Russian River from the campground where you can park and access the river through a boardwalk or from the Sportsman's Landing Russian River Ferry to cross the river.

Book a charter, rent a boat, or floss from the shore of the Kenai River, but keep an eye on the fish counts!

Seward is one of our absolute favorite spots in Alaska- a MUST stop in our opinion!

Exit glacier in Seward is one of the few glaciers you can walk or hike to with a 1-2 mile stroll to the glacier base, or a more challenging 8-9 mile hike to the top viewing point.

Book a tour of the ocean wildlife and landscape through Kenai Fjords Tours where you can do some whale watching, kayaking, and of course ice berg and glacier viewing.

Fish for salmon from the
shore or book a charter for
some delicious halibut!

Check out Alaska Seafood Grill for a delicious fried seafood basket, Red's burgers, and Firebrand BBQ. Just make sure to give yourself some extra time to order/get your food with busy tourist season in Seward.

Homer, the halibut capital of the world, is of course another great spot for booking a fishing charter if you make it all the way down there.

Drive down the Homer spit to walk the boardwalk of shops and restaurants while you are surrounded by beautiful mountains and ocean.

Also stop by Bear Creek Winery for a tasting for only $5!

Get a drink at the famous Salty Dawg Saloon and awe at the dollar bills that cover every inch of the walls and ceilings.
